Vegan Natty Bodybuilding Vlog: Day 1 - Biceps

Why Vegan?
The vegan diet is the only medically proven cure and prevention for cardiovascular disease, diabetes, osteoporosis, diseases that afflict the entire human population, because they aren't vegan.

Starting Physique as of July 23, 2020


Today's Workout:
30 minutes bicep curls
15 minutes bicycle
10 minutes bicep curls
Total Sets: lost count. Did not achieve total exhaustion, ran out of gym time.



Breakfast: Skipped (drank beer sunday night)

Lunch:
Soup: carrots, squash, broccoli, cauliflower, spinach, tofu dumpling
Side: whole grain red rice

Dinner:
Noodle soup w/ squash, mushroom, tofu, spinach, sweet potato
Side: white rice
Condiment, garlic, onion, chive, soy sauce & vinegar

My biceps this morning feel AMAZIN'! very mild soreness with a euphoria I haven't experienced since I was a teenager getting my dick wet.

Today's Workout:
30 minutes flat/incline/decline bench press
20 minutes bicycle
10 minutes machine press
Total Sets: Approx 30 sets of 10 reps. Rotating type when bicep compensation became apparent.


I didn't achieve the total exhaustion I hoped for because biceps were activated on everything towards the end and I'm supposed to rest them for 3 days to profit on the gain. I'm unable to imagine doing shoulder workouts without inevitable bicep compensation also. The lesson learned is that biceps should be focused at the very end of the week and not the beginning. Next week will go chest -> leg -> shoulder -> abdominal -> bicep -> cardio


Breakfast: 4 dragonfruit


Lunch: Oatmeal Muesli w/ banana & almond milk




Dinner: kidney beans & red rice, big ass pile of
will kill the remaining dragonfruit before bed

Hey brah, hope you take questions here. I just came off a low carb diet and managed to cut ten pounds in two weeks, so I'm fairly happy with myself. But seeing your post about how protein and fat diets mess with your digestive system gave me pause. I'm skeptical but I want to learn more before I make up my mind. Do you have any links to resources you'd recommend where I can learn about this stuff at length? Some diet guides too maybe? I've been experimenting with a bunch of dieting strategies, intermittent fasting, extended water fasting, keto, paleo, OMAD etc. and I'd be down to try vegan as well, temporarily at least.

My feet differ in size after an accident in high school wrestling (the 300lb guy crushed my toe in practice and utterly deformed it), so I have to wear sandals at all times.

Animal fat causes cardiovascular disease in any mammal its experimented with. This isn't "made up facts and logic", you need to explain why not even cats can tolerate lard without developing heart disease and yet you somehow can? You're an idiot. Obligate carnivores are not immune to the diseases of long-chain 18-carbon saturated fat feeding when packaged with dietary cholesterol., and herbivores are even more susceptible, so where are humans located in our tolerance for it?
[Hint: 50% of the human population dies of this disease, almost 100% have it, scores of other-type deaths like cancer and sepsis could arguably stem from it as well but that is still an emerging field of research]

Keep it up, interested in your progress. How long do you plan on running the specific program you are on? Are you making any changes to your diet with regards to calorie intake or keeping it relatively the same?

I usually work out 6 days a week but I've never done a pro body builder routine of sculpting a muscle each session. I'm starting my third day now and appetite has decreased significantly subsisting on 2-3 meals a day whereas previously would eat to chase the high of eating (ex. 1 bowl of cereal vs 3 bowls, late night eating). Eyeballing I'd say dropped from 4000 to 1700 calories. I can see how its pretty easy to get cut doing this. The workout is a lot easier than I'd expected. I envisioned excruciating pain to exercise 1 muscle for 45 minutes but so far it has seemed I could go longer and only stopped by time constraints. My bicep was in some noticeable pain last night but 1 application of tiger balm has made that vanish for 8 hours now. Honestly this feels like the correct way to live.

I've never done a VLOG before and its kind of fun. Never wrote a diary as a kid so Freud might say gap filling the ID. If I had known what I'd known now when I was a 14 year old fascinated by dumpster fire wignats on forums like these, I could have accomplished more and prevented a lot of misery. A real step-by-step, day-by-day wasn't available then and still isn't today without paying someone, which teens can't do. This VLOG is what I'd ideally needed 25 years ago and since it gap fills my childhood I'm positive the kids here will also like it particularly because I'm challenging the persistent myths perpetuated by the "broscience" epidemic.

You really don't want to travel right now these places will stick you in a 14 day quarantine literal jail cell with little food and water. One of my employees traveled from Utah to Canada a week ago and vanished completely, I'm guessing put in a quarantine with no internet.

There are vegan strongmen, but if you want to know why there are hardly any, its because professional bodybuilding is a 100 years broscience dominated field. Jack Lalanne was complaining about exactly this from his experience back in the 1930's? Arnold Schwarzenegger recently came out about how he was fooled by broscience and needs to be a vegetarian. The same myths Lalanne complains about from 100 years ago are still perpetuated right here on this forum.

The current pool of vegans are also mislead, usually trending some climate change or animal cruelty without any clue what they are doing. I have a university level education in nutrition. What I'm doing here is really the forefront of science.

Excess fat certainly contributes or triggers progression of genetic predisposition to atherosclerosis, but I maintain that there are too many variables and not enough data (not enough obese vegans to study) to conclusively determine precise etiology, i.e., blame it on animal fats (I don't know about the cat studies nor enough about veterinary bio physiology) as opposed to any type of fats that cause obesity).

Anecdotally, I know a few ultra-skinny hilly-billy types who lived to ripe old ages using almost exclusively lard and animal fats and also know two four (just thought of 2 more) *strict* lifetime vegans (lifetime SDAs who probably are not lying) who are obese and unhealthy in their early 50s and who are on statins and hypoglycemics.

Additionally, people who live longer than average in the so-called "blue zone" (who are distinct in their dietary habits, notably the vegan Adventists in Loma Linda, CA) do eventually die, but I'm not sure any mortality studies are done on 90 year-olds who keel over.

If that's the case, then who knows whether vascular disease sequalae or cancer (which we all eventually develop if we live long enough) is what causes these blue zone people to die.

The point being that we will all die and we are all affected by quality of life, and I would guess that people who eat lard yet maintain comparable BMIs to vegans probably do live just as long.

tl;dr: I'm not convinced enough by the cat - lard study (did they make the cats obese? Were the control group cats fed an equal amount of calories, etc). to determine that it is animal fats vs. plain, old obesity that triggers disease in susceptible populations of humans.

I looked up Jack Lalanne, considering I had never heard his name before (which, for a man like me who is enthralled with fitness and has dedicated a substantial portion of his time to studying it and mastering it, must speak volumes), and he was not a strongman. Or a bodybuilder... Can you name any formidable strongmen that were vegan? You did claim that there were at least a few ("hardly any"). I'd like to see some real names here.
