@Panzerhund @TimeBandit @Highlander
  • Two-thirds of Republicans in the South say they favor seceding from the Union
  • Nearly half of Democrats in the Pacific region - 47% - also back secession
  • Findings are from survey conducted by Bright Line Watch and YouGov
  • Overall, 44% of Americans in the South said they would favor seceding from US
  • Survey divides respondents into geographical regions that could form countries
A whopping two-thirds of Republicans in the South favor seceding from the United States while nearly half of Democrats in the Pacific region and almost 40 percent in the Northeast say the same, according to a new survey.

Support for secession is also considerable among independents in the Midwest and Great Lakes regions, where 43 percent say they would favor breaking away and forming their own country.

Half of independents in the South also favor secession while 43 percent of Republicans in the Rocky Mountain states share the same view.

The survey, which was conducted by Bright Line Watch, polled 2,750 respondents. The figures were published in the June 2021 edition of the Bright Line Watch Survey Wave 15 Dataset.

Overall, support for secession was highest in the South, where 44 percent said they favored breaking away from the Union.

How TF is West Virginia heartland???? Kentucky, WV, Ohio, Indiana, Virginia and Michigan would make a good Appalachian nation
That's on you and @Panzerhund to hash out.

Yeah the article is good but that map is low tier. Way over simplified. We are more likely to see State's split up along different lines. Remember the liberals are full entrenched in the cities.

Nuevo Mexico, New Confederacy, USSS, Deseret. and the American federation will form. I would advise against being in the North East, as it will immediately become the New Soviet Union as soon as it Secedes. Of the others, Deseret, even though it will be Arian led, will be the best choice as it will have the smallest population by a wide margin (I don't know why Arizona and Nevada aren't part of Nuevo Mexico, though).

We'll have to decide ahead of time which country gets the niggers. Otherwise, we'll be so mean and ornery to them in the south, they'll all leave and pile in on someone else. The northeast seems mighty fond of them -- having fought a war to free them and give them they 'civil rights'. West coast and Minnesota should probably take in a few too.

There is only one Appalachia........hard stop.

Any claim of Appalachia outside of Appalachia proper is cultural appropriation.

This map will settle things! If you don't live on any of the Olive, Purple, Red, or Brown shaded areas, you're not Appalachian.

Love this story. Really surprised Mountain isn't higher. Haven't looked into who/where they polled exactly. Definitely think the area could be broken up into its own North and South, with certain parts, like the populations of Jackson, WY and the greater Denver, CO area annexed to the Pacific by forced relocation.
