Depends on what he does with it, who runs and who runs as candidates. I voted for Ron Paul in my states Republican party primaries back in 2012. I didn't agree with him 100% and I didn't think he had much chance. But I did it anyway.

With the willingness to pull off election fraud the way they have and the fact that third parties don't even stand much of a chance it would be a waste of time.

Of course that's if this is even true. Which I doubt cause Trump has said nothing officially. He just left the White House today. I doubt he is thinking about starting a third party so soon.

But it's his time, his money and he can do whatever he wants with it. Maybe the US is ready for a third party. There is a lot of unhappy Republicans and unhappy Democrats out there.

"Third" parties typically get on the order of 1% of the vote. They're not even important enough to get a seat at the adult table where the serious fraud takes place. And Trump is gonna have his hands full staying out of prison, anyway.

There have been exceptions.

Ross Perot was winning against Clinton and Bush 1 until the Deep State threatened his family.

You also have George Wallace who won many electoral votes as a third party candidate.

IIRC Teddy Roosevelt started a party called the Bull Moose party and made a big splash too

It's rare but occasionally someone makes a splash.

No seriously, I'll say it again: I knew from the start way back in 2015 this guy would be a grand disappointment in the long run. I knew that the 2nd Amendment was the only thing we could be assured he'd almost certainly not tamper with given his statements on that topic, and that if he were to win we could enjoy hilarious, non-stop kvetching and Nazi comparisons.
But everything else: the wall, removing illegals, banning abortion, and the rest,... okay whew, I've heard people say in his defense "you don't really know what's happening behind the scenes, who could be doing what in order to deny him the ability to act", okay, that's an acceptable argument. But to go out on your last day like this? Did he even think this through? Did he really say to himself "Yeah, yeaaaaahhhhh, this list of folks to pardon is GREAT" ?
I don't even care at this point. Let's just move on, remembering the most important thing as we continue: Trump was never a legitimate /ourguy/, and we knew and understood this all along, no matter how much we had hoped he was, and no matter how much the jewish media and their lackeys repeated the lie.

I support this but he shouldnt run he needs to support it and endorse it that is all. This will destroy the GOP which has to happen. At the state level the patriot party can endorse succession. The federal party must exist solely for the purpose if destroying the gop. Yup, Republicans have shown themselves to be totally absolutely and literally fake to their voters and Democrats will follow suit. Trump doing this would hurt them good. Then again, his actions don't give a sense of command...

I would argue that it does matter to them, but they just take it for granted with a childlike mentality and don't believe that far-reaching evil exists in this world, in their country, or they think that somehow the storm will spare their niche of comfort & peace.
Many of them live more or less insulated from the realities of the post-WW2 world order; especially the most jimmy-rustling ones. It's a combination of lack of experience + corruption of will from comfort and the resulting narrowmindedness.
