The movie Richard Jewell is a good movie.

It shows how the Feds tried to frame a white (obese) guy with the Centennial Park bombing in Atlanta in 1996 during the Olympics.

The Feds immediately jumped to the conclusion that it had to be a white guy who had to be the bomber who killed 2 people and injured hundreds.

And the (((news media))) were all too eager in launching a witch hunt against the guy.

Never mind that some other white guy eventually was caught and sent to jail for planting the bomb.

It's a movie that is sympathetic to an average white guy who's being crushed by the (((system))),

I’v only heard good things, but stayed away from it to avoid getting agitated watching him get f’d over for 2 straight hours...that sustained frustration just exhausts me lately.

Reading awful story after awful story on here all day is hard enough, but at least I get to interact with them by leaving snide comments whenever I think of them. Movies are such a one way experience, plus I think my attention span might be getting fried by this forum...

But I’ll move it up the list and try to find a way to watch it.

There might not have even been a bombing in the first place. The news footage from the day of the event shows alleged victims laying around the blast zone as if they're taking a nap. I've seen pictures of the mutilated remains of Palestinians resulting from Israeli explosives. Explosions do not create pretty corpses.

I agree it was a great movie. I especially liked the part where he read the university president's own words back to him, and then got fired.
If there is a lesson in this movie, it is to avoid being a fat incel. No matter how smart, dedicated, and thorough you are at your job, none of it matters if you are a fat incel with no gravitas. Had Richard Jewell not been such a mama's boy, lost 30 pounds, and obtained a pretty wife and
kids, he would have not been disrespected so much.

There's another component to this film worth mentioning. The reporter Kathy Scruggs was typical of a "strong" woman in media, that slept with cops for scoops. She saw Jewell as pathetic, and saw no problem with destroying him. Thankfully, she died of a drug overdose from pain medications. Overprivileged White women like this broad dying of an overdose, makes me question being an agnostic and believing in god.

Watch it, he gets vindicated at the end. Even though his poor lifestyle choices cut his life short.

Yep, it was me. I actually watched it twice. The first time alone, and then the second time with my normie buddy. It was directed by Clint Eastwood so that's a good selling point if you're going to promote it to normies, like I have.

It's a good anecdote to be aware of, as far as FBI and journifa malfeasance go. I tend to fall back on Ruby Ridge and Waco a lot when excoriating the feds, but there's a profusion of less egregious examples like Jewell, and also the FBI's entrapment of John Delorean, and the FBI providing the bomb to moslems that was used to do the '93 WTC attack which killed 6 people.

Jewell is undoubtedly the most sympathetic of all these examples TBH and a good starting point if you want to redpill normies in your life on the FBI and journifa. Besides showing what complete and utter pieces of shit the FBI and journifa are, the movie also explicitely underscores why you should never talk to badge niggers with and especially without a lawyer. It was a local badge nigger who wore a wire and fed the FBI disinfo about Jewell which was the genesis of their investigation.

I haven't seen it but wasn't Jewell also someone who had a lot of trust and reverence for law enforcement prior to getting totally fucked by them?

It's a very good, low key drama that tells the truth about what scum the FBI and media are. Eastwood's later films have been somewhat hit and miss for me but this one is very well made and acted all round. Jewell is played very convincingly as a well meaning person that constantly self sabotages when dealing with Law enforcement vermin, out of misguided respect and deference.

I think it is summed up best as the definitive "Don't talk to the cops" film.

Reading the wikipedia page about the movie, this part where they defend m'lady's honor pissed me off:

The film came under fire for its portrayal of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reporter Kathy Scruggs, who had died of a prescription drug overdose in 2001. Criticism was directed at the film for depicting her as offering to engage in sex with an FBI agent in return for confidential information. The editor-in-chief of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution wrote in an open letter that this depicted incident was "entirely false and malicious". Employees of the newspaper demanded the film have a prominent disclaimer that "some events were imagined for dramatic purposes and artistic license."

The film was accused of perpetuating a sexist trope of women journalists exchanging sex for information. However, it was pointed out that some female journalists did in fact remain employed with The New York Times and CNBC despite the fact they held romantic affairs with convicted government leakers such as James Wolfe and Henry Kyle Frese. Wilde, who plays Scruggs in the film, defended her role and stated there was a sexist double standard, in that Jon Hamm's portrayal of the FBI agent was not held to the same scrutiny. Commentators noted that Wilde's character was based on a real person, whereas the FBI agent was an amalgamation of multiple individuals. They also noted that the purpose of the film was to expose and condemn the character assassination of Jewell. However, in the process, some insisted the film committed the same act against Scruggs.

I thought the movie was good, hell it got me to read "Between The Lines Of Drift: Memoirs Of A Militant" by Eric Rudolph. That guy made the FBI look like the lightweights they are for nearly 5 years, the only strength those faggots have is in numbers

Yes. He was the archetypal example of this. He was a rent-a-cop who briefly got hired as a university cop, and then fired for being too serious about his job. I believe it was the university dean who first snitched on him. He was working security at the concert that the bomb went off, and being super-serious about his job, he was the only person who noticed the bomb where everyone else was annoyed at him for taking it seriously.

They thought he was like one of those firemen who started fires and then took credit for putting them out, and portrayed him to be without any real evidence. After the investigation and publicity, he sued the feds and journifa and won I believe; he probably could have just stopped worker altogether, but he decided to try being a cop again and made it into some department, before he died of a heart attack.

The thing about Wikipedia is that they almost only use the (((media))) for sources. And the media will stand up for their own. So something like this gets represented as a (((fact))) by Wikipedia.

I found the movie fascinating. Since Clint Eastwood directed it, the movie can serve as a great source of anti-FBI information for normies. I thought the Richard Jewell portrayal was absolutely convincing and incredibly sympathetic. Kathy Bates did an outstanding job as Jewell's mother, tormented by the Jewish media machine and about to witness her son going to prison for a crime she knew he had no ability or desire to commit. The manner in which the FBI goon squad invaded her shitty apartment and ransacked it (even stealing her Tupperware) looking for, and most likely trying to manufacture evidence was infuriating.
The counter-programming of the Jewish media in portraying the FBI and law enforcement in general as do-gooders obsessed with making us safe is ubiquitous on network 'programming'. Nearly every new TV series is about the FBI and the agents are always half-breeds, women, and brown people using their massive intellect to protect us peasants.
I am so happy that the real life slut reporter died of a prescription drug overdose. I hope her death was slow and painful and she choked on her own vomit, naked on her bathroom floor writhing in her own urine and feces.

Unfortunately she just fell asleep and stopped breathing, as with almost every opioid overdose. But the punishment she certainly receives in hell is far more satisfying.
