Seeing BTC in freefall @18k makes my asshole pucker.

How do you guys sleep at night? I'd need to have a barf bag handy at all times.

I see this getting uber ugly and BTC dropping as low as 5k... maybe lower.

Shit is going to get very emotional for a lot of people.

Good luck out there boys.

If by "2200" you mean ~2070, and if by "1700ish" you mean ~1800, then yeah. About a 10% drawdown, which is way better than almost everything else out there.

I think the financial system will break, possibly irreparably, before that happens. Over the last 14 years, when the system looked like it was going to seize up, monetary authorities always stepped in to expand their balance sheets in order to keep the system running. But, this time, the plan might be to completely collapse the financial system in order to induce total chaos--we aren't being told what their intentions are, obviously. If that's the case, then the only prices that matter will be for lead (in the form of bullets) and food.
It will break at some point, but they’re going to print even more money before it’s all over. they’ll kick the can down the road as long as they possibly can. Inflation will return in the long but it will be deflation first. Imo this is the final bubble for the dollar. The dollar will go even higher from here.

Take a look at BTC's historical price chart. 70% drawdowns in price are normal. I think the further down it goes from here, the further (and faster) it's going to bounce upwards when it finally turns around.

Disinflation, maybe, i.e. the inflation rate will drop somewhat from here. Outright deflation is hard to imagine, because there's way, way, way too much debt in the system now. I think the Fed will declare victory once they get the inflation rate down to ~5%, which will probably be around the time that something big breaks in the system, and then it will be off to the races again.

History says the next bull market is just months away, and it could carry the S&P 500 to the 6,000 level, according to Bank of America

When it comes to bear markets, investors can take comfort from history, which suggests that where there’s a beginning, there’s always an end.

And according to Bank of America, investors have only got a few bear-market months left to endure after the U.S. benchmark S&P 500 SPX tumbled into bear territory at the start of this week. And then will come a bull market.

Per history, B. of A. Global Investment Strategy’s chief investment strategist, Michael Hartnett, points out, the average peak-to-trough bear-market decline is 37.3% over a span of 289 days. Matching that pattern would put the end of the pain on Oct. 19, 2022, which happens to mark the 35th anniversary of Black Monday, as the stock-market crash of 1987 is widely known, with, again according to statistical averages, the S&P 500 likely bottoming at 3,000.

MarketWatch: History says the next bull market is just months away, and it could carry the S&P 500 to the 6,000 level, according to Bank of America.

You'll only be poor again if need the cash and you are forced to sell.

There is no doubt in my mind that BTC will break 100k at some point, but it will take time... maybe a lot of time.

Nothing changes Bro.

I'm just looking to scavenge after the herd tramples the shit out of everything.

Bitcoin isn't an "inflation hedge", it's an alternative currency, like gold.
Take a look at BTC's historical price chart. 70% drawdowns in price are normal.

Reading those two quotes REALLY makes my asshole pucker lol

I have followed this thread a little here and there and I've been very impressed with your knowledge of the financial markets.

All of my calls are based on personal experience and just gut feelings.

Fortunately I've been able to financially survive the crash of 87, dot.com crash, subprime crash, and a bunch of other asshole puckering cycles.

Thanks for all the info muh Dude.

Bank of America makes money off investments and people giving them money. I think what we will see is a huge crash this October due to rising gas prices, lack of goods/parts from China, and a much more aggressive war in Europe. Hopefully a few nukes will shake things up, but unlikely.

I bought. Some woman crypto were "experts" were claiming bitcoin is going to fall to ~12k, I have heard it elsewhere too a lot, I think that's the popular opinion right now. Here's to hoping they are wrong.

I bought a little also. I bought it as a trade. I think we get a bounce to 30k. But I still think we go lower after the bounce. But who knows at this point. Sentiment is pretty negative atm

Didn't go all in either but considering buying more if it hits (I think it needs daily uptrend in addition to hashrate MA crossover).

Well done you guys. Nice little 10%ish pop from your buys... so far.

Let's see if Gio gets his 30k target. If so I might have to subscribe to his newsletter lol.

I've got my eyes on you two.

I wouldn’t bet big on it. Who knows if it’ll get that high. If it gets to 25k I’ll cash in. I still think Bitcoin will hit 10 or go sub 10 before putting in a final bottom.

Not feeling very good about bitcoin either. It probably isn't the start of the big uptrend I was hoping for.

Some of the large crypto middle men are going to go bust. It already happened with 3AC and LUNA. It is said that some of the exchanges are insolvent.
3AC was a cryptocurrency hedge fund. LUNA and UST were algorithmic (i.e. 0% collateralized) stablecoins on the Terra blockchain. PAXG is fully collateralized; that is, 1 PAXG corresponds to 1 ounce of an actual physical gold bar in a Brink's vault, and it is possible to exchange PAXG for the gold that it represents. The collapse of a cryptocurrency exchange would only affect PAXG if you left it in that exchange and were prevented from withdrawing it to an Ethereum wallet.

That's the crucial aspect. Chinks got caught out with 83 tons of fake 'gold' a couple years ago, but at least with PAXG there's some attempt to match it up with auditable physical gold.
