I have no idea how to superimpose symbols and text onto backgrounds. If anyone has a good background for this, can I ask for someone's assistance in superimposing it on that background?

Ok...
Go to this site and turn the image into a png, meaning it has a transparent background. Save that.
Image search for 3 cool pics that go with each era, then go to this site and stitch them together horizontally. Save that image.
Then go to this site and choose the stitched pic as the first/ background image and choose the png of the words/symbols as your second/ foreground image.
You can adjust the size and placement and a few other little tweaks to get it just right. Process it and, boom, you just made a custom overlay meme.
I could have done it in less time than it took me to write this. Post results, I’ll start making my own attempt right after I publish this reply.
Protip: Make sure the words are clearly visible against the background or maybe switch the font color/s to be instantly legible to the scrolling eye.

Thanks for the sites, I didn't want to have to manually edit the individual pixels, and this seems to make it so much easier.
Anyways:
I think @Storminnorman @UnCL3, and @ionwhite will love those sites. Memes will be produced at a quicker rate!

Spacing/centering/word placement needs some work, but you get the idea.
This site has a million interesting fonts that you can search through, type what you want, then save the words as an image and overlay them on a background if you wanna get fancier. ✌🏻
