Thanks. What's your opinion on the Accords from 2008 to 2012?
IMO they are great cars. However, I'd stay away from $2500 to $3500 versions that may seem like a good deal. You might get lucky at that low of a price range, but I think you'll have much better luck/reliability in the $8500 to $10,000 range. I'd go for the V6 so you can have a little bit more power, but the 4 cylinder may be all you really need. Just observe who the owners of the car are, and you'll be able to better gauge what you are getting into.
You might be able to score a good deal in the $5500 range with some Acura TL's which might suit your style better. Those are good cars too, just more like the luxury version of the Accord. So keep an eye out on those as well.

A car is a car if you are not a car enthusiast. Cars are my hobby, and I am not an NPC consoooomer. I am highly interested and do build race cars because I am interested in the mechanical aspect, and also I do paint/ body work which in itself is also an artform. Besides being a hobby, it's also a skill that makes me extra money on the side. Unfortunately the car hobby is getting way too expensive for the average person to be involved in. The custom work involved in building my cars, especially the suspension/chassis welding work is something that really can't be bought or reproduced except through a few exceptional highly skilled men who have been in the business for decades.

You are correct in that a person no matter their budget should always look towards practicality first before anything. The Ford Crown Victoria/ Grand Marquis is one of the most reliable, and practical cars ever made in the world. Those cars were used in the NYC Taxi business for decades because they could always be counted on to reach 500,000 without issue, and 1,000,000 miles if maintenance was always done on schedule. I had a Grand Marquis for many years, and it was the most reliable car I ever had. Despite it being a rear wheel drive V8 land barge, it was fun to drive, and I plowed through the snow with that car on many occasions without issue. I miss that car, and wish that I NEVER sold it.

Toyota Camry's are fantastically practical cars that I would highly recommend, but if OP wants a reliable two door sports car, the C5 Corvette will be the most reliable sports car IMO of them all, and they are the best sports car bargain on the planet right NOW next to the C6 which is also a very reliable car. The problem with turbo Japanese sports cars from the 90's is their complex engine management systems will bite you in the ass if you don't have time to tinker with them all the time. I'd only recommend a Japanese turbo sports car from the 90's or 80's if that person is a car enthusiast that already owns a practical daily driver, and won't be bothered by a broken down car due to old/faulty electronics.

So with that said, I'd look into getting either a Honda Accord, Toyota Camry, or Grand Marquis if practicality is going to come first and foremost. Before that even I'd look into getting a Truck, because the way this country is headed, you'll probably be seeing yourself needing a truck more than anything.
If you do look at trucks, I would like to recommend the base Toyota trucks, manual 4x4.

I'm not really a truck guy. I prefer two-door cars.
That's your problem right there. Two-door cars are dead and all of them are gay. The last thing you want in the apocalypse. You either want a truck if you're an independent rambo-type or a big SUV for your war clan. The roads are not going to be in good condition for the future.

Instead, I’d recommend a Scion from that time.
I forgot about them. A Toyota with more style and a different name, not bad idea.

The Ford Crown Victoria/ Grand Marquis is one of the most reliable, and practical cars ever made in the world.
Yes! And they have a trunk bigger than the bed of my truck.

Nooooo!!! Stay away from Garbage Motors! Although to be fair, I’m sure the Vette’s have the most attn to detail of all GM vehicles.

Just know that literally upwards of 90% of Corvette owners are boomers, homos and boomer homos. They are like a cult.

The funny thing for me is the concept of a "gay car" is very American. I never heard anyone else use the term. I heard people say "shitty car" or "women car" but I have never heard the concept of "gay car" from anyone but Americans.

Americans are so drowned in homosexuality they are starting too see it everywhere. Next thing you know people will be asking "is this gun gay ?", "is this PC gay ?", "is this PVC pipe gay ?"

I will also say that most Americans these days are poor and hard times are coming. Whether a car looks gay is the least of my concerns. If I had money I'd buy something reliable, that can work on bad roads, doesn't guzzle too much and is easy to fix.

Just buy a ZIL bro.

You'll need it after Biden's infrastructure plan is put into action.
When Americans call all kinds of things "gay" it's meant as a general negative opinion, not literally that it's homosexual.

Crown Vic Police Interceptor. Best deal going. Two tons of Detroit steel. Stopped making them in 2011, now those ones are coming up for sale from the cops. You can get them CHEAP, parts are super cheap. Cops beat on them, but they maintain the fuck out of them. Minimal electronics, V8 will run forever. Built like a tank, can go 100 MPH on a dirt road, crash at 60 and keep chasing the bad guys. Handles like you wouldn't believe with the heavy duty police suspension. It's not the cloud nine suspension you'd expect on a big ol' boat. Plenty of room, can seat five big men, it's like a driving a sofa. You could fit TWO dead bodies in the trunk. Thing has more interior volume than most SUVs.

The only downside is the mileage, 20 MPG on the highway, but the money you save can buy plenty of gas. Also it's not cool, doesn't have that curb appeal, but it does strike fear into the hearts of niggers :ROFLMAO:, and rides pretty much under the the cops' radar. Most people think it's a police car when they see it in the mirror and they get right out of the way lol.

I'm more of a Ford guy, but I do have a soft spot for Corvette's, and since they are mostly boomer owned, they are also in pristine condition for the most part. They also haven't been torn up by the teenager segment of the population yet. Plus parts are cheap for the LS series of engines. Of course you may turn into a Boomer if you buy one, so be careful.

When I had my panther Grand Marquis almost every night after work I'd have a line of cars on the highway behind me that would refuse to pass my car simply because they thought it was a cop car. Plus I was almost invisible to cops on the road because I guess either they thought I was an old man, or a cop.

I don’t think I’ll buy another car that isn’t from the Panther Platform (2003+) unless I’m rich and can afford a like new Grand National. Those things make 90 feel like going 50. Pretty bulletproof too. You just have to be okay with owning an old person car and account for not great gas mileage and speeding tickets.

Anyone here owned a 9th gen F-series? They pop up around here for pretty cheap but with higher mileage. 7-10k for 150-200k miles, I’m going to need a truck pretty soon but don’t know all that much about them.

I knew it was gay. I was only really asking because I was wondering if other people thought there really was such a thing as a "gay" car. I think the Dodge Charger is a pretty masculine car, and I was surprised to observe that women drive it as often as men do. This made me think that there may not be a such thing as a man's car or a woman's car. Of course, just because women drive it doesn't mean that it isn't a man's car; in my opinion, a woman driving a Charger is the same as if she were cross-dressing.
There is such thing as women's cars. SUV's. No straight man would drive an SUV.

This thread is coming out nicely. My shitty GM lease is up in 2 months (Silverado) and I can not wait. I wanted the F150 or Tacoma but Chevy had the best deal (dumb). Plus Henry Ford hated jews so Ford it might hv to be.

In the same vein, is the Toyota Corolla a woman's car? I know that it's a classic car, but the newer models look pretty feminine, at the very least, childish, to me. Here's an example.

At the same time, I like how the car looks, and think it looks much nicer than the Camry. I've also only ever seen men driving Corollas; although that might be a coincidence, it shows that it's not like the Solara, a car that pretty much only women drive, as I only realized after I made this thread.

IMO unless it's a classic, a sports car, or a truck it's kind of gay by default. That corolla looks like a prime offender to me. Something about it screams "my wife picked this car". Is there some reason you can't buy a truck?

Most cars today have a very feminine look. Cadillacs and Dodges are more masculine I guess but the best way I could describe those cars would be "niggerfied".

Someone else recommended Honda/Acura. I think they tend to look way less gay than the newer Toyotas. This accord looks like something a man might drive:

My opinion? Anything above 1972 is gay with the only exception being the mid 80's Buick Gran National. But in these times any car will do for transportation. If you like it, that's really all that matters.

I don't like the look of it.
AAAARRRGGHH!!! Look at the Solara rear end!! It's like a fuckin Kardashian with a higher IQ!! If you like a big ass on a car, at least get a BMW Z3 Coupe. You might be able to convince others that you are straight since you bought it for resale value.
Get a truck and maybe it will make the gay go away.

I can't help but think that you are trolling, but I actually don't think that. However...

1. If you have to ask if your car is gay.

It is.

2. Really? This is a serious old lady car with gay curves. If you got it from your Grandma, good on you and her. But to think you are picking this out on your own???

3/ tangent. Differentiating now. "Get a Truck". Yes. Great. Yet, I think at this time to be able to get a truck at a good price you need to be able to handle a "driveway tranny and engine pull". Good luck. Most of the assholes that think they can do this sell the truck in 2 months. Maybe people on this forum don't do that, but you can see it in truck ads. Most trucks for sale with a "brand new engine with only 50k miles or less" are selling it because they can't figure out what is wrong with it after a major overhaul.

4. If you are in CA you have to abide by the smog crap. So, a 30 year old truck is ok, but no airbags/luxury.

Good luck.

Lexus makes a few sweet 2 doors (where the windows go down all the way with no upper frame on the door) which is the only explanation for why you would want a two door in my opinion.

Listen to Sam Hyde's side kick. A lexus is a toyota with a better engine and all the perks. Like sound proofing and a better suspension and engine. You will probably get a free sunroof too. But the sound proofing and comfy ride is worthwhile. + sound system and leather.

I think you mean crossover's. No straight man would drive a crossover, or Minivan.
A crossover is a sexless, genderfluid vehicle. You could even call it a "smoothie" or "nullo." There is no excuse for having one other than being a boomer, or clueless female who knows nothing about cars other than the long one on the right makes it go, and the fat one on the left makes it stop.

That looks like a butt plug on wheels. The only Corolla a man should have is an older one in excellent condition.

That's not true. For example, fat bitches like cake, yet that matters. It's a philosophy similar to "love is love" and means there are no social standards. A man shouldn't spend his money on and drive a faggot-mobile.

-edit- Agreed, the Buick GNX is one of the highest T cars ever made!

I'd think he was wearing an adult diaper.
