I don't start threads often, other than my article threads. I'm still going to finish the AMA I swear.
But lately my writing hasn't been great, I don't think. I've been doing self-criticism/analysis and it seems to have peaked.
Part of the problem is obviously just the state of the news cycle, and the fact that I'm trying to avoid totally unadulterated doom-mongering (which is my instinct right now).
I wanted to get some feedback from you all: what is good, what isn't good, what can be improved, topic suggestions, whatever.
For example, someone said they thought the recent article about that Jew Abramson trying to get Alex Jones arrested was too arduous. I can see that.
If you don't want to be negative, you can just say what you do like.
Also, I'm open to bringing back more edgy humor. I don't really want to do that, but maybe there's a way to do it that doesn't feel cringe.
I stopped with the edgy humor in large part because I don't want to become [REDACTED] or [REDACTED], who are two guys who are now in their 40s and 50s trying to do edgy stuff that was funny in the 1990s and now just comes across as pathetic.
Also, the fact is, I successfully pushed that stuff so hard that it was genuinely no longer shocking, which kind of defeated the point. There is a fed site that I won't link to that tried to rip off the use of racial slurs and then mix it with a neocon anti-Russia/China agenda, and I spent like an hour reading through it maybe a year and a half ago and was like "this is the worst thing I've ever seen." Aside from the fact it was pushing State Department talking points, it was 100% try-hard and 1000% cringe. So the slurs themselves are not just automatically funny anymore, and it largely feels like a dead meme.
However, being able to just say GAYNIGGER LOL was an easy goto for filler content.
The one thing that is still funny is talking about beating and raping women. That will always be shocking. But the ridiculous racist/Nazi stuff seems largely played out.
Oh, and I'm planning on doing some serious reading of old Christian material and writing about that, but that will just be a once a week thing probably (I'll likely publish Sundays and then collect it in book/pdf form).
I think some of the longer stuff is still pretty good, it's just the daily trudge that I'm struggling with.
I think I could hire some more people to do what Elvis/Snake are doing. Maybe they could do a better job than those two. For anyone who hasn't noticed, I write most of that text. They format the articles and sometimes add a few sentences. They only get paid a pittance. But it's not hard work.
Anyway, this post is becoming like a shitty article - so the thing: just give me some feedback. Don't be shy.
